I'm Back

Sat Nov 7, 2009, 8:43 PM
The power was actually turned back on a week or so ago, but in a completely unrelated event we were without a connection to the internet for that time.

The one good thing about it was that it gave me ample time to practice drawing, though without a working printer it's unlikely I'll post anything here any time soon. Hopefully though I'll post something before the end of the year, digital or traditional.

On the other hand, Target didn't hire me and I haven't gotten any more interviews yet. I've started going back to Labor Ready, but work there gets a bit slow this time of year. Hopefully the places around here start hiring seasonal workers soon.

And to what are you disagreeing with?

Further, why did you feel the need to bring it to my profile, when we already had a thread of discussion on yours?

Oh, then most of these will see death's scythe. Haha, by the way, what are the rules regarding custom made animations utilizing existing sprites, for example manipulating them or re-drawing them? Thank you for letting me know gentleman, for I am merely new, I would not like to rush myself into a dead end. ~Etradeh.

FAQ #8: What does deviantART consider to be Art Theft?

Generally speaking any submission which is directly built upon the existing work of another artist or photographer can be considered to be a case of art theft. These works may feature screenshots, official artwork or sprites taken from a video game... In many cases these 'seed images' are manipulated, colored over, blended with other images, and otherwise digitally worked over but none of this makes the use acceptable or allowed.

I love your art dude... but what you're doing is being a DeviantArt Vigilanty.... and a Cyber Bully. Listen to yourself you might as well be the DAPD lol... like i said erlier some people just use DA to store pictures like myspace or photobucket... they're not rlly trying to get a reputation stealing art. Why dont they use them otherwise from DA? i dont know maybe they just dont like myspace... The poinn genral is well... find artists that are actually stealing art and claiming them as their own...

I used to hate going to weddings. My grandparents would always poke me and tell me im next. But they stopped doing it to me when i started doing to them at funerals.

Posting pictures on DeviantART that you do not have permission for is against the rules. It doesn't matter if you say they aren't yours, or if you make it clear who made it, DeviantART is for your art. If you want an image hosting site, go to photobucket or something.

If I was a "cyber bully" I would be harassing people. The only thing I've done is warn people that they're breaking the rules. I could just report them and let the mods sort it out, but sometimes I feel nice enough to give people a chance to take the offending images down before they're taken down by force.
